Chris McMillan: Senior Pastor
Pastor Chris McMillan serves as the Lead Pastor at Providence Baptist Church. Having served in church ministry for 25 years, his passion is to help others know and live the gospel. His life goal is to enjoy his family, teach the Bible, be faithful, travel widely, laugh often, and finish well. His passion for the gospel takes him around the world where he trains pastors and encourages churches. Chris holds a Master of Theological Studies Degree from Liberty Theological Seminary. His hobbies include sports, reading, traveling, spending time with family and rooting for his beloved North Carolina Tarheels. Chris has been married to his best friend and the love of his life Allison for 23 years, and together they have an amazing daughter named Carissa and a son in heaven. The McMillan's make their home in the land of the life worth living.
Streeter Wiatt: Student Ministry Pastor
As a native to Alabama, it is no surprise that Streeter Wiatt chose Auburn University to obtain his Bachelor’s in Finance. After graduation, Streeter moved to New York City working with Morgan Stanely and UBS in Commodities and married Carrie. During this time frame, Streeter sensed God calling him into ministry. They moved to Louisville, Kentucky where Streeter obtained a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Streeter has a heart for teaching students to put the Word into practice through building relationships with them and addressing issues they are experiencing. His desire is that they might find their identity in Christ rather than this world. Streeter is the father of Charlotte, Streeter, and Jack. He enjoys spending time with his family, college footbal, and motorcycles.
Worship Director: Eden Blaylock
Eden Blaylock is a hometown girl that has lived in Gloucester for 25 years. Married to Barry in 2012, they have two boy's, Luke and Adam. After she graduated from GHS, Eden served at a coed camp in the mountians of Lowesville, VA. “I always knew that God wanted me to do something with music, but until I began serving at CrossRoads CCC as their special programs director, I had decided I was going to be a band director.” “I want others to think of Him, realize who He is, and experience His goodness.” Eden studied Music and Worship at Liberty University. From there she taught at a school for children with autism in Richmond, and then began serving as Music Intern at Providence in 2010.☺
Administrative Assistant: Wanda Hansford
Wanda moved to Gloucester in 1976. She is the mother of two grown sons and a daughter. She has been blessed with eight wonderful grandchildren. Some of her greatest pleasures come from watching her grandchildren play the sports they love. Wanda became a member of Providence in 1993 beginning her journey with a church family that she has grown to love and has had the privileged to serve in many areas of the church. She became Administrative Assistant in October 2000 and continues in that position today. She loves the majestic beauty of the mountains, relaxing sounds of the waves at the beach, a good book and trying new recipes.
